Pack-Back & Return

Pack-back is the return leg of a contents claim: your cleaned and restored belongings come out of storage, travel home, and are unpacked and placed room by room — then the original inventory is closed out with your signature. It's the step where a claim stops being a claim and becomes your house again.

If this is your home

The best day of the process. We schedule around your move-in, place furniture where you want it, unpack to surfaces (not a wall of boxes), and walk the inventory with you so you can confirm everything that left came back. Then we take the packing materials with us.

If this is your claim file

A signed close-out against the origin inventory is the cleanest way to end a contents claim: delivered, verified, no trailing disputes. Discrepancies, if any, surface on a single reconciliation document instead of phone calls.

How it works

  1. Schedule the return

We coordinate with you and the contractor so contents arrive after final cleaning — not into construction dust.

  2. Deliver and place

Containers come home room-labeled. Furniture is placed, boxes are unpacked to surfaces, and beds are usable the first night.

  3. Walk the inventory

You and our lead walk the original inventory together, item by item or by room — your call — and note anything that needs attention.

  4. Sign off and clear out

The inventory closes with your signature, the reconciliation goes to the adjuster, and we haul away every box and wrap we brought.

The record

What gets documented

Every service we run feeds the same claim-grade record. For pack-back, that means:

  • Return delivery manifest checked against the origin inventory
  • Room-by-room placement confirmation
  • Signed close-out reconciliation
  • Discrepancy report (when applicable) for the adjuster
