Emergency Pack-Out

An emergency pack-out is the rapid, documented removal of your belongings from a home damaged by water, fire, or smoke — before secondary damage sets in. Our crews photograph and inventory every item as it leaves, transport it to our climate-controlled Signal Hill facility, and hand your adjuster a complete record of what moved and why.

If this is your home

Your home just flooded or burned, and everything you own is sitting in the middle of it. We get your belongings out fast, but never carelessly — every item is photographed and logged before it leaves the room, so nothing disappears into a truck unaccounted for. You get a copy of the inventory, and you can ask where any single item is at any point.

If this is your claim file

Same-day response keeps contents from becoming a bigger line item than they need to be. You get a room-by-room photo inventory, condition notes at the point of origin, and an Xactimate-ready scope — usually within 48 hours of the pack-out.

How it works

  1. Scope with the adjuster

We walk the loss with you (or your adjuster's scope) and agree on what moves, what's cleaned on-site, and what's documented as non-salvageable before a single box is packed.

  2. Photograph and inventory

Every item is photographed in place, condition-noted, and logged to a room-by-room digital inventory with barcode tracking — before it's wrapped.

  3. Pack and transport

Trained crews wrap, box, and load by room, on our own trucks under our own FMCSA DOT authority. When a piece needs a specialist — a piano, a large appliance — we bring in licensed, insured handlers and keep it on the same documented chain of custody.

  4. Store under climate control

Contents arrive at our Signal Hill facility, are checked in against the inventory, and stored in sealed, climate-controlled vaults until your home is ready.

  5. Return and place

When restoration is complete, we deliver everything back, place it room by room, and close out the inventory with your sign-off.

The record

What gets documented

Every service we run feeds the same claim-grade record. For emergency pack-out, that means:

  • Room-by-room photo inventory, timestamped at point of origin
  • Condition notes on every item before wrapping
  • Barcode tracking from your home to the vault and back
  • Non-salvageable items documented separately for the total-loss schedule
  • Xactimate-ready contents scope, typically within 48 hours
  • Chain-of-custody record from first photo to final sign-off
