Art & Antique Pack-Out

An art and antique pack-out applies registrar-grade handling to the highest-value contents in a loss: fine art, antiques, heirlooms, collections, and designer furnishings. Each piece gets an individual condition report, appropriate wrapping or custom crating, and segregated climate-controlled storage — with documentation an insurer, public adjuster, or conservator can rely on.

If this is your home

Some things in your home aren't 'contents' — they're the painting your parents bought in 1968, the piano, the collection built over thirty years. Those pieces are handled one at a time, by people who document like registrars: photographed from all sides, condition-noted, wrapped to conservation standards, and stored apart from general household goods.

If this is your claim file

High-value contents are where scheduled-property disputes start. Individual condition reports at the point of origin — before transport — protect every party in the claim, and our handling chain keeps conservators, appraisers, and the carrier working from the same record.

How it works

  1. Identify and prioritize

High-value items are flagged during the initial walkthrough — with you, the adjuster, or the public adjuster — and scheduled ahead of the general pack-out.

  2. Condition-report each piece

Multi-angle photography, dimensions, materials, existing wear, and loss-related damage recorded per item before anything is moved.

  3. Wrap, crate, transport

Conservation-appropriate materials — glassine, foam-lined crates, climate-aware handling — and transport under our own DOT authority. For specialty pieces like pianos, we use licensed, insured specialist handlers on the same chain of custody.

  4. Segregated storage and coordination

Pieces are vaulted separately from household goods. Where conservation or appraisal is needed, we coordinate access without breaking chain of custody.

The record

What gets documented

Every service we run feeds the same claim-grade record. For art & antiques, that means:

  • Individual condition report per piece, photographed at origin
  • Materials, dimensions, and identifying marks recorded
  • Custom crating manifest for fragile and oversized works
  • Segregated vault location tracking
  • Chain-of-custody log covering every access event
